The Battle of the Bats will be held on August 27, 2011 as part of the Softball Slamboree fund raising event.

The Battle of the Bats features ASA approved bats for players to test on one of several hitting stations in a designated fenced-in diamond.  For a small fee of $10, people will be able to test different manufactures bats as often as desired, all day long, with the bat sales representatives able to talk to players, promote their wares, and introduce their bats to the public.

This is a great opportunity for players to test different models, different weights, and different manufactures.  It also offers a great opportunity for bat companies to promote their bats, increase their market exposure, and reach players on a more personal basis.  In 2010, Demarini brought their new 2011 One.12 bat for players to test several months before it was due in stores.
